U.S. Services Trade, 2019 Annual Report Submissions

The International Trade Commission is preparing the U.S. Services Trade, 2019 Annual Report. All stakeholders in the following services: cross-border trade (for 2017), affiliate transactions based outside the country of their parent firm (for 2016), and distribution services (logistics, maritime transport, and retail), are invited to submit information and views related to the 2019 report. This will summarize trade in the aggregate services and analyze trends and developments in the selected services. Online publication is anticipated for September 20, 2019, and the deadline for written submissions is March 30, 2019. All submissions should be addressed to the Secretary and be received no later than 5:15 PM. The annual reports can be found on the Federal Register under no. 332-345. Rethinking Innovation for a Sustainable Ocean Economy

This OECD report on the ocean economy highlights the climbing importance of sustainable economic development of our seas and oceans. This report identifies how we can safeguard these ecosystems and in turn, do the same for our growing use of marine resources. The report covers three areas of action: positive-sum approaches between ocean businesses and the ocean environment; the creation of ocean-economy innovation networks; and new initiatives to improving measurement of the ocean economy. Department of the Navy Forum for SBIR/STTR Transition
